The Jorge Nation Foundation

JFN LogoThe Jorge Nation Foundation Inc. (JNF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to sending children facing some of life’s greatest health challenges and their families on once-in-a-lifetime all-inclusive Dream Trips of their choosing.  JNF partners with Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital, one of the nation’s leading children’s hospitals, to help refer children with terminal or serious illnesses to JNF for Dream Trip consideration. Through generous donations and sponsorships since its inception in 2011, JNF has been able to send dozens of children and their families on once-in-a-lifetime Dream Trips and sent hundreds of children and their families on their yearly Group Dream Trips to exciting local theme parks and venues such as Jungle Island and the Miami Sea Aquarium.

JNF regularly sends children throughout the calendar year to amazing destinations.  Presently, JNF is able to complete 8-10, and Dream Trips cost approximately $7500-12,500.  JNF’s Dream Trips are first-class and truly special all-inclusive experiences.  JNF has traveled children and their families to destinations such as San Francisco, New York, California, Las Vegas, Colorado, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and multiple Disney and other cruises vacations.  Dream Trip recipients have had special recognition at sporting events, private access to theme parks, shows, and stadiums, and introductions with athletes and celebrities alike.  Our Dream Trips truly are something these deserving children and their families will never forget.

As an example of one of JNF’s Dream Trips, JNF recently presented an award to a very special girl, Cassidy Lennon (age 6).   Cassidy suffers from anaplastic ependymona, a brain tumor.   Cassidy’s intensive treatment has made it financially prohibitive for her and her family to travel.  No one deserves a first class / VIP trip more than Cassidy and her family.  As a result, during her Spring Break this month, JNF is sending Cassidy and her family to the happiest place on earth – Disneyland, Universal Studios, and Big Bear Lake in California.    JNF was fortunate that Eddie Jackson, the Alabama Crimson Tide star defensive back – who was the MVP of this year’s National Championship Game, was on hand to help award this amazing trip.  Eddie is a Fort Lauderdale native who went to Boyd Anderson High School who loves children and understands the significance of giving back to the community.    Eddie has committed to playing his senior year at Alabama on behalf of Cassidy.  Upon hearing the great news, the smile on Cassidy’s face was priceless.   In fact, recently we were featured in the Sun Sentinel after we awarded this Dream Trip (
